If you have missing teeth, your dentist can close — or bridge — the gaps in your smile with dental bridges. A dental bridge is a false tooth (called a pontic that is held in place by the abutment teeth on either side of the gap. Although pontics can be made from a variety of materials such as gold, typically they’re made from porcelain to aesthetically blend in with your natural teeth.
We offer three different types of dental bridges at Dent Hospital Turkey. Those types are Traditional Bridges, Cantilever Bridges and Maryland Bonded Bridges. The traditional bridge tooth is applied by placing the prosthetic tooth with a veneer in the area of tooth loss. A Cantilever Bridge is applied to only one of the healthy teeth next to the tooth loss gap, by fixing the prosthetic tooth with support. Maryland Bonded Bridge teeth are bridge teeth applied to eliminate anterior tooth loss and are applied by attaching to the back surfaces of the teeth located on both sides of the cavity.

The life of the dental bridge is between 5 and 15 years on average. Knowing how long the bridge life will last depends on your routine care and your oral hygiene practices. An annual dentist check is essential for the long-term problem-free use of the bridges and veneers you have made.
